Welcome to the website of Pamela Bradley, author, historian and public speaker.
Here you will find information on Pamela and the nine books she has written to date as well as excerpts from those books and a few readings. Also, the site will keep you up to date on some of her articles and any events, such as the launch of new books, future talks, seminars and workshops.
Pamela has been interested in books since she was a small child when she was always found with her head in one, and she loved to write stories then read them to her school friends sitting on branches of the large peppercorn tree in the school grounds. Her love of reading and writing was only matched by her fascination with ancient cultures which began at age nine. These lifetime interests have now led her to this website.
Doors, as symbols of new opportunities and possibilities, have always fascinated me and I see this site as a chance to move through a new portal and tap into an unlimited world of people who share many of my passions.
What are these passions?
Apart from communicating with people by the written and spoken word, I love to make solitary journeys, ‘go off the beaten track and outside my comfort zone’, explore the remains, mysteries and wisdom of ancient cultures, particularly Egypt, read about discoveries on the frontiers of science, and meet people who, in the words of the poet Robert Frost, have taken ‘the road less travelled’.
